The meteor is named after the location it comes from which is from the Gemini constellation location. It is called by Astonomers as the best meteor shower as the year. Many are expected to see more than 100 space rocks to light up the sky for four days starting this Sunday. However the best time to view them will be on Tuesday, December 14, 2010. The Geminid meteor shower is usually visible during December 12 to December 16 every year. This year makes it special as a total lunar eclipse will occur right afterwards and North Americans will be able to see it on December 20.
Meteor showers are celestial phenomenon when space rocks enter the atmosphere and burn up. The light it produces form streaks until it vanishes. Due to advance in astronomy, ordinary people now have information on the accurate dates the meteor shower takes place. Some people though, fear the meteor showers thinking that it might cause damage if a meteor strikes Earth. Scientists explain that most of the rocks are very small and they burn out while entering the atmosphere. As for bigger rocks that do crash into Earth, most of the time they hit the ocean instead of land as the Earth is made up of lots of water bodies than land.
The Geminid meteor shower might be one of the few celestial phenomena appearing this late of the year so Astronomers and star gazers be ready to view meteor shower as it will be another year before we can see it again.

It seems that Jenn Sterger is playing it safe. Phil Reese a public relations manager for Sterger says that Sterger may be offering not to sue (not threatening to sue) confirming the fact that he and Sterger will not be filing any legal action against anyone if only the NFL suspends Brett Favre.
It’s very rare for media to have news about the mysterious Nuns or sisters in Christian and Catholic Churches. Recently a nun, Sister Marie Thornton allegedly embezzled eight hundred fifty thousand dollars ($850,000) and spen it on herself. According to sources, Thornton used Iona College funds for personal expenses from 1999 to 2009. She was then the Vice President of Finance and used her position to submit false invoices while Iona College paid her credit card bills. No details of her expenses have yet been released.
