26 year old Miranda Leigh Lambert must be the star of the Country Music Association 2010. She made history as of Wednesday for the first ever female country music artist to have recieved 9 nominations for CMA Awards. Lady Antebellum comes in second with five nominations and tied at third Blake Shelton and Zac Brown Band with 4 nominations. A far cry from Carrie Underwood who only got 1 nomination.
It’s the year of Miranda as 2010 the crooning Texan has managed to win 3 Academy of Country Music Awards last March and an engagement a few months later.
Lambert became known after becoming a finalists in the 2003 Nashville Star where she placed third. Her first recording label was Epic Records and she released her first single Me and Charlie Talking in 2005 from her album Kerosene which made Platinum. Three of her songs Bring Me Down, Kerosene and New Strings made it to the Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs. Lambert then signed up with Columbia Records releasing her second album Crazy Ex-Girlfriend which gained mild success and her third album Revolution in September 2009 with a number one song The House That Built Me which stayed number one for nearly four weeks.

It will be an exciting CMA for Miranda Lambert and she has a clear shot at winning all nine of her nominations. Should she win entertainer of the Year it will be a solid win for the females who have been winning the award for a very long time.
