Dead hostage taker Rolando Mendoza in a Flash Game

That’s right, barely 2 days after the incident and already there have been mixed emotions with how former senior police inspector Rolando Mendoza shocked a whole nation and possibly the world for being the first documented police officer to hostage an entire bus. Barely hours after the incident and a flash game has been already made about the whole incident!

The game is very simply, it’s like duck shoot only this time, cartoon characters in the form of policemen pop up and you have the hit them. The game itself is very crass and and poorly made and so far it has only gained scores ranging from 0-5 points from the comments. The website Newgrounds.com hosted the flash game and repeated attempts by some users to remove the game because of its content has so far been met with silence. The creator of the game says:

Seeking to arm-twist authorities into reinstating him back, a dismissed policeman has taken a bus with 25 passengers hostage here. Can you stop him and blow his brain?

This has been the first time ever that a documented hostage crisis involves a police man or rather a former police man. True that the situation could have been handled a bit more delicately by Philippine Authorities but multiple factors such as the bystanders, media and the situation itself contributed to the failure of the negotiations. Rolando Mendoza died during the SWAT assault and a total of 8 people have died, tourists and a civilian. On a happier note, Philippines was partially redeemed after Miss Philippines Venus Raj made it to the top 5 after nearly half a decade of candidates not even managing to enter the top 15.
