Stephen Griffiths has been living the life of a serial killer. Self-proclaimed “Crossbow Cannibal” baffled police about his identity for some time until a Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage caught Griffiths doing his grisly deed. The CC TV showed the 40 year old killing one of his victims with the use of a crossbow. The deed took place just outside his apartment where after the incident; he raised his middle finger to the camera.
On May 25, the caretaker of his building saw the video of Griffiths assaulting Suzanne Blamires. Griffith already confessed to killing Blamire. Griffiths already confessed to killing three prostitutes.
A news network was able to obtain the video but they only showed Griffith carrying a sack down the stairs. The footage of the suspect dragging the dead body wasn’t shown however.
Police were able to find some of the victims’ remains just right at the River Aire. With the mounting evidence Griffith confesses to the morder of 36 year old Blameres, 43 year old Susan Rushworth and 31 year old Shelley Armitage. He received three life sentences in prison after he pleaded guilty to the charges.
There is no news yet if the charges will be elevated. However police are now investigating of other incidents that might have been done by the “Crossbow Carnival”. Each incident shows the victims studded with crossbow bolts. Some strangulation and slash marks were also found in the victims.
