New Batman movie casting rumors are being made each and every day. The Dark Knight of Christopher Nolan is so popular that there are a bevy of A-Listers who want to be included after the iconic role played by late Heath Ledger. Ledger was cast as the most villainous Joker yet. Now ever actor and actress worth his or her salt are vying for a villain role in a Nolan Batman movie. Even fans are wishing, hoping and even speculating that their own star will be in the movie. We’ve seen Miley Cyrus fans hoping for her to be a “batgirl”, Transformer Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox were also pegged to be in the movie. Even Evelyn Salt Angelina Jolie is rumored to be appearing in the third installment of “The Dark Knight”. The rest include Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Johnny Depp, Eddie Murphy, Rachel Weisz and Philip Seymour Hoffman are rumored to appear.
So far speculations for one villain in the movie will be put to rest. The role of Catwoman has been given to none other than Princess Diaries Anne Hathaway. After her breakout hit in the said movie, Hathaway has been starring in more drama movies to expand her dimension as an actress. This time she’ll be in an action drama movie and fans are very excited to see her performance. Hathaway will be playing Selina Kyle or Catwoman. Inception’s Tom Hardy also appears as Bane. Of course, Christian Bale will be back as Batman though Nolan adds a bit of bad news, this will be the final film in the batman series.
Hathaway reportedly beat out many other actresses such as Jessica Biel and Keira Knightley for the role. In previous Batman movies, Halle Berry was the Catwoman and fans are wondering if Hathaway will be a better Catwoman than Berry was.
